RYOBI introduces the 6 Amp Corded 3-1/4 in. Hand Planer. The 6 Amp 3-1/4 in. Hand Planer provides more power in a more compact design than the previous model and has up to 1/8 in. depth of cut. This tool features a kickstand which allows you to set the planer down on a work piece or table area without damaging the work piece or the blade. of leveling out our subfloor joints. I hooked a 90 degree PVC adapter/reducer (1 1/4″ x 1″) to the shop vac and voila, no mess. I just needed to team out the inside a bit with the dremel.

Item seem to function well, however once it got hot and the speed was intermittent. Recommend you attach a shop vac when using, the bag required repeated emptying.

This is the first time I’ve used an electric hand planer and this Ryobi planer worked great! We just got new carpeting in and I had to shave more than 1/4 inch off the bottom of 3 doors I started with a manual one and was going to take forever. This worked great right out of the box! The bag actually catches the wood shavings (unlock most other tools I have). You can put the bag and the guide on either side which did come in handy. It comes with a bag to store everything after you are done with some room to spare. At the price I feel like I paid for it already and when I use it again it will be a bonus.
