The lawnmower works well, I only gave it 4 stars due to the fact you need both batteries to operate it but the charger only charges 1 battery at a time. Wouldn’t including a 2 battery charger make more sense?

Really liked this mower since it uses 18V battery to work with all the 18V + series of tools. I did not want to go w 40v series as I have no need for other tools in that series. Great for small lawns. Mower had more power than I expected with some negative reviews stating lack of powers for tall grass. I mowed dense tall grass after a month ago from placing new sod. I concur with critique of catcher not being well designed as it slopes upward away from the mower.

Bought this to cut the front and hard areas to access with the ride on – got rid of two gas mowers and all that clap trap. Works perfectly, lightweight cuts well and battery lasts 45mins. Recommend for light duties.

The battery lasted long enough to cut just under an acre of difficult lawn. I’m a 5’3″ on a good day and the mower was light enough for me to lift and store fairly easily.

I purchased this mower at the beginning of the summer, changing from a gas mower. I have a smaller yard, both front and back, so I thought it would be perfect. First, I should have gotten on with a wider range, then maybe I could finish quicker. Which brings me to next “issue”, the battery and overall power. If grass is too tall, this mower really struggles and uses up the battery pretty quickly. There have been a few times where I was only able to complete the front yard, then recharge the battery to do the back yard. I ended up buying a second, more powerful battery. Overall, I am pleased with this mower; just wish I was able to have a test drive first.

I expected more from the Ryobi being battery operated, my first battery lasting me a good 35 minutes and my second battery seems to die after 10 minutes of use I have continued to charge the battery but I continue to get only 10 minutes on my second battery which does not give me the hour needed to cut my small 2 areas of grass. The only suggestion I would have is to get extra stock of batteries and have them charged up if you have a larger area

I love this lawn mower. I am a 65 year old female and was looking for an easy to handle and easy to start lawn mower. This thing is perfect for me. I don’t have a huge yard and it is mostly level -front and back, and this lawn mower is easy to push. Most of the time I have made it on one charge, but couple of times I had to stop and re-charge the batteries, as I was not able to finish the back. About an hour of charging and I was able to finish. I may buy couple of more batteries in the future if I find a good sale. For $199.00 this lawn mower has been awesome for me.

2-4.0Ah batteries will run for around a half hour, so if you have an average size yard, it will take 4-6 batteries to complete the job. So have extra batteries and two or more chargers. The batteries will take a couple of hours to charge, so you will get a break. Unless you have 6 batteries, you cannot finish in one session. On the other hand, it cuts well. Actually better than my Honda 21 inch gas mower. and it is sturdy, but light weight. I can lift it with one hand. It is also quiet and easy to adjust the height. The bagger is not large, and does not stay on well if there are any bumps.

Very easy to assemble and use. Takes 30 minutes to mow my 1100 sq ft lawn, batteries last with no problem (2x 4Ah). Grass catcher bag holds a lot. Only complaint is the handle doesn’t fold down as easy as hoped, but it’s not a big deal. For small yards I recommend.

Nice and quiet and perfect for the small yard at our new residence. The grass was rather tall when first used, and that may have led to the mower not lasting power-wise as long as expected. Either that, or one of the two batteries is faulty and not holding a charge. Will have to wait until the Spring now to find out which is more accurate. The look of the lawn was very nice – a good, even cut.
