On the plus side – this is a lightweight mower that is easy to move around and gives a nice clean cut. ALso, the mower packs down small for storage.However….whilst it is listed as a HYBRID…RYOBI do not supply a cable to plug it into a power source. This is not listed on the box or in any online description I found. The battery system works well but the units do get hot (see other reviews about them melting). Also, they are only going to last for a SMALL yard (less than 1/4 acre) and they take at least 45 mins to recharge. Finally, the mower cuts out if the grass gets a bit heavy/thick – whilst it is easy to re-start, this gets boring. Finally, the grass collection system is not great unless your grass in bone dry.Overall, its a good buy if you have a small yard and you need a lightweight/small unit. If you have heavy grass/a sbig space – you will have to buy a lead or choose a different mower.

I was afraid the 16″ would be too small for my yard. It works well and can complete the whole yard with a full charge. The smaller size is easy to maneuver and lift to areas. mower bag is small but I mulch cut most of my yard. Very happy with this purchase.

Works great for a limited area close around our house, as it can go where our zero-turn won’t fit. Nice and lightweight! Used it for 20 minutes the other day with plenty of power.

Its okay. the handle switch to cut off the motor/blade is much to sensitive. I would like to disconnect it because it is much more annoying than a safety feature. It elongates the mowning time by 30%.

I didnt like the power On + lever mechanism. Little play in the lever would turn off the mower due to which it required to start again. Also personally moving from 20 inch to 16 inch was difficult. Had to return for these reasons.

Great lawnmower — plenty of battery power for my lawn! So light and easy to store in the garage. Don’t miss gas containers and the smell!

All works great so far. Have tried both the battery operation and plugged into power. Both do as intended.

Great idea, but a little under powered. Cuts out when dealing with heaver grass and I mow once a week on setting 3. I can mow my front yard with 2 batteries. Then charge while I weed wack and have a beer. Then I mow the back yard.

Here is an updated review after using this mower for 3 years.I live on a lake with a 150 foot bank by the water I’d rather not try to navigate with my zero turn mower. This mower lets me do that area with ease. The unit is lightweight when compared to gasoline powered mowers of the same size. Two things I have learned while using this mower: Use it when the grass is dry and don’t let the grass get too high before cutting. It overworks the unit and will make the engine stall.

Was able to mow front and back yards on one charge with some battery life to spare, average suburban sq footage. If you were ever to run out of battery, or batteries become compromised at some point, there’s an ac in which can be connected to standard 3 prong extension chord. Really cool mower.

It works great. It is smaller and easier for my wife to use. Like the fact that if batteries are used up can switch to cord. – Only draw back is that it comes with 2- 18 V 4ah batteries ( these are the size of battery that are used in a lot of Ryobi power tools and they are small and do not last super long). We may have to buy 1 more (18 V 4 ah) battery to do both front and back lawn. Otherwise its great mower.

Much better than the Worx mowers I’d owned previously. This mower has plenty of power and being new the blade will cut tall grass easily.

shipped to home on the 26th of April. Mowed the lawn that evening. As I hadn’t yet charged that batteries that came with the mower, I used 2 3-yo batteries that I had on my drill and saber-saw. Light, wonderful, quiet, and amazing! whole yard accept the last 2 swaths on those batteries – and finished by plugging the cord in. Surprised? Yes. I have a lot of battery tools and appliances – and a Leaf. I know limitations, and plan accordingly. But, here’s the thing, I hadn’t mowed the lawn since last September (See pictures). Some things could be improved: 1. Handles can get in the way of getting the mower up against the fence, 2. Have the handle fold to trolley on 2 wheels to put away (I was able to pick up and carry, but would have been nice to trolley). 3. Safety handles are touchy – would shut down when I was not squeezing very tightly, 4. Shape electrical cord connection for fit of 3-prong extension, 5. I have built a hanger lip in basement wall – would be nice to have one that comes with and is secure with catch. My friend (a gal with a decade on my age) loved mine so much that she went out and bought as well! Have now had 3 weeks of mowing, and am still very happy!

Perfect for my little 30×60 yard and the batteries work with my weed eater, drill and blower

I bought this because my old battery mower needed a new battery at a cost of $260. For $40 more I got a new mower, plus I already have several One+ tools and batteries. The mower works great and the 16 inch size is easy to adjust to. In fact, it fits corners better than my old mower. My only negative is that even with two batteries, I can only mow 75% of my quarter acre of zoysia grass before it goes dead. The mower actually stops with one bar of charge remaining on the battery. That is the only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating.
