This Ryobi wall mount, is a great new place to hang my leaf blower. Rather than hanging it on the garage unit it is now on the wall and it is every charging. I can also use it just to charge the battery by itself without hanging the tool on it but now I have it always there in handy. It was easy to install with just two drywall screws a level and the screws in Molly’s that come with it.

Here is something new to Ryobi that I just recently found out about. It is the new Ever charger that keeps your tool ready to use any time while providing a very workable storage bracket on the wall for compatible tools such as a handy lightweight vacuum that is always to go when needed. The charger also has a new light that attaches and can be used as a safety night light. I suspect that there will soon be many more tools combatable with the EVERCHARE.

This is what happens when I don’t read the complete description of the product. I am a die-hard Ryobi 18-volt fan and have lots of their tools so I thought this charger would help me out with the rest of them. As it turns out, this charger p187n is designed for a very specific product and I don’t have that one. This charger is made to be used with a p714 hand vac or p718 stick vac. in order for me to get any use out of this thing I’ve got to spend about another $100 and I don’t have that right now so….

This is a hard review to write, because I actually cannot review this product. I selected a Ryobi One + charger to use with my green lithium batteries that power all my green Ryobi tools. All the One + tools use the same battery, right? And fit on the same charger, right? Wrong. It seems this charger is only for a couple of the Ryobi stick vacuum cleaner models that have a charging slot that hang on this charger with the battery in place. I was in error to think that this Ryobi One + product would work with my other One + tools like they advertise. So my 3 star rating is based upon lack of clarity and would suggest to the manufacturer that a different name would be appropriate here. I ‘recommend’ the product because I am sure it works fine with the specific units it is designed to support, but I will have to speak to the Home Depot staff about it because I don’t own one of those vacuum cleaners.

Ryobi Introduces the 18 Volt ONE+ 2 Amp Fast EVERCHARGE Charger This is a super nice charging station by Ryobi. It can be mounted wherever you’d like. It makes it so nice to always have your battery ready to go. This is a well-made product as always by Ryobi. The battery is not included. It has a 6 foot cord and is 18 volts. It is compatible with P7181 and P724 ONE + Stick Vacs. It is easy to mount and has a fast charge. It also has LED Indicator lights to let you know when your battery is fully charged. It includes (1) P187 2 Amp Fast EVERCHARGE Charger, mounting screws / Anchors and Operator’s Manual. The battery and vacuums are sold separately. I recommend this Ryobi EVERCHARGE Charger to everyone. This would also make a great Christmas gift or a nice gift for any occasion. One more great product by Ryobi.

So we got the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Fast EVERCHARGE Charger because we have several Ryobi tools in the same system. We have several regular chargers but I wanted this small one to put in my work and hobby room so I could have batteries with out having to run to the garage all the time or having a bulky charger on my bench top or work surfaces. I liked the fact it mounted to the wall. The fact that the name has one+ in it and the description led me to believe it would work with the batteries from the one+ 18 volt system. However when it arrived and I opened it I was very confused. Upon looking through the instruction manual I realized it was only compatible with tools that have a certain type battery that can be left on while charging. Which is from what I can tell by the manual and an internet search is only two stick vacs and a particular light none of which do I have nor am I going to run out and buy just to be able to use this charger. I think Ryobi unintentionally missed the mark with this one. Perhaps they should have given it another name. So with that being said I am not able to give much of a review as to the functionality of this Ryobi charger. I wish I had known that before getting it instead of getting my hopes up. It does seem to be well made and like it would be durable. It appears also to hold two different tools as well. It can only charge one tool at a time though if that matters to anyone. The spots to hold tools can both go on the same side or different sides to suit your needs. It seems like it would be pretty easy to mount and use. If it had worked on our little handheld vac I would have considered putting it in the garage so it could have its little designated spot on the wall. They did include hardware with it for mounting which I thought was nice. Overall its seems nice we just can’t use it at this point. Which is why i only gave it 3 stars.

I kind of mis-read the description of this product. It IS an 18-V Ryobi charger, but it is only for the Evercharge products. For now, this include only the portable and stick vacuums. I wish they would have included an adapter so that it could be used to charge the ONE+ batteries, but they didn’t. Thus I can’t say whether it actually charges or not. The construction is high-quality, and the hangers on either end of the charger would be handy if you had a tool that would fit into the snap holder.

Recommended, but be aware this is a Specialty type charger because it will only work with a select few Ryobi Vacuums…Model # P187N – Ryobi ONE+ 18V Fast EVERCHARGE Wall-Mount ChargerHomeDepot.com – Internet #314099823I thought this would work with “Any Ryobi 18V ONE+ Battery” as described in the first and third points just below — which are quoted from the product summary shown next to the views of the P187 Wall Mount Charger on the homedepot.com webpage:– Charges 18V ONE+ 4.0 Ah Batteries in Under 2 Hours– Mount to Wall for Convenient Storage of Vac and Accessories– Over 175 ONE+ Tools – All Work With Any RYOBI 18V ONE+ BatteryHowever, upon unpacking the P187 charger – and looking over the 2-page “Tool/Appliance/Battery Pack/Charger Correlation Supplement to Operator’s Manual….” Publication 987000-432, 7-20-20 (Rev:163) — that was included INSIDE the carton — … it was noted under the “Wall Chargers” section that the P187 apparently will work ONLY with the P7181 or the P724 Stick Vacs. Therefore, I would recommend HomeDepot.com clarify the product summary to make this completely explicit.Reviewing the instructions for the P187 charger — it is easy enough to mount using the 4 screws provided (one of which should be installed into a wall stud, if mounting on drywall). The separate clip holders can optionally be attached with one on each side of the charger, or with both together to the left or right side of the charger, which is thoughtful and somewhat ‘customizable’ design. There is no D-shaped hole in the P187 charger in which to insert any or all Ryobi ONE+ batteries.Instead this charger has a plastic tang or finger that contains three metal clip-type contacts that I’d think probably engage with mating metal blades on bottom of the housing of either of the two Stick Vacuums models mentioned in the previous paragraph. The literature for the P187 charger says it will charge a 4.0 Ah Ryobi ONE+ battery (mounted on one of the two Stick Vacs noted) in under 2 hours. This is approx. the same amount of time as it takes the Ryobi P118B desktop charger to charge a 4.0 Ah ONE+ battery, so I’m not sure how the P187 is described as “Fast” in comparison with this other charger that is typically or often provided with many of the Ryobi power tools.[Note: the P118B charger can be wall-mounted via the 2 keyhole slots on the back/bottom using 2 screws, and it’s separate (permanently cord connected) Class 2 power pack is then plugged into a 120V outlet.]

This charger makes the Rybok cordless stick vacuum cleaner even more convenient to use by providing a second charging and storage location in addition to the charger that comes with the stick vacuum cleaner. For example, putting the second charger in a closet upstairs means that a cleaner that was charged downstairs can be used to vacuum stairs heading upstairs and then the cleaner can be left upstairs to charge without bringing it back downstairs. This charger is for Ryobi cordless stick vacuum cleaners and the cleaner slides into the charger where electrical contacts are made in the handle of the stick vacuum cleaner. This charger does not directly connect to the battery to charge the battery, the battery charges through being in the stick vacuum cleaner.

I have several Ryobi battery operated products. This Ryobi One 18 volt evercharge charger is a perfect addition to my products. Actually rarely do I run out of power but its great to know I have a backup charger that will charge quickly so i can continue working. It comes with holders to house your tool handles as well. This charger is a very handy product to have for your gardening needs.
