I needed a backup battery pack and found the 18 bolt 4ah was cheaper and would go longer of course than getting a handful of 1.5. I also paired them with the 6 port dual chemistry intelliport by Ryobi. Can’t complain with the long run times and quick charge to include a trickle charge when not in use.

A bargain for 4AH batteries at $79Way more power than the batteries (3 1/2x) that come with the tools.I gave up on Ryobi stuff a while back because of battery life and have accumulated 3 of the old blue drills and a circular saw.The rep was in the store so I asked if these batteries would work in the old blue drill and he confirmed they would.That’s why I bought them but had to buy a new(er) charger too.So drag out your old blue drills, dust them off, and put them to use with these hi-powered batteries.Just know the annoying slipping chucks on those old blue drills hasn’t gotten any better though..
