This trimmer has a brushless motor for maximum power and durability. For fast and simple reloads, this trimmer is equipped with the REEL EASY bump feed head with speed winder and can be reloaded in 60 seconds or less. The variable speed trigger and 2-speed switch deliver increased control for any application. The adjustable 11 in. – 13 in. cutting width allows you to optimize your trimmer for increased run time or a wider cut swath. This lightweight and well-balanced design also has an adjustable front handle for user comfort and is equipped with a 4.0 Ah battery for extended run time. The battery and charger that are included are compatible with over 125 tools on the RYOBI ONE+ system. Backed by a 3-year warranty.

Great trimmer with plenty of power. I enjoy not having to pull start a trimmer any more. Battery doesn’t last long. I have to charge the battery twice to trim my 1/4 acre lot with a fence in the back yard.

The only bad thing about it is when it gets in the 80’s and up outside can cause it to only get about 10-15 mins of use out of it. I use a 4 aAh and the 6 Ah battery and get the same time of use it’s not the battery but an over heating issue. The way I get more use out of it is to take my blower and force more air through the vents to cool it down where it heats up at there isn’t enough vents or that it’s to tight around the motor to breathI would by it again when this one is dead because of the weight and the new design of the shaft with the expand-it option

For a battery-powered string trimmer, it has great power. It feels much closer to a gas-powered trimmer than other battery units. I really like the adjustable power from the trigger. Also, the two string option combines for the 13″ cutting path making the trimming time go down. The only downside is the battery. Like pretty much all of them, they can over heat before their power runs down. Thankfully, I have a few batteries, so it’s not an issue. But cutting in the heat can cause the battery to stop immediately (safety feature).
