I went from a gas powered 2 stroke trimmer to this and absolutely love it. I only have 7k sq ft and probably 25-30 minutes of trimming. With the 4AH battery I can get two rounds of trimming done with it. The line provided is very weak in my opinion and doesn’t cute very well. It isn’t a big deal to me because I plan on switching the head out to the rotary scissors in a few months. The only real negative to this is I wish more weight was toward the head as it feels like the head likes to jump up every once in a while but thats a personal preference.

I absolutely love my new RYOBI ONE+ 18-VOLT BRUSHLESS LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS STRING TRIMMER (TOOL ONLY)! It has a brushless, variable, 2 speed motor, which is 1.5 times more powerful than the previous version, and so much better than my current Ryobi One+ trimmer that it will replace! This trimmer uses .080 line, an upgrade from their previous .065, so it should cut better with fewer line changes. It easily switches positions so you can use it as an edger with the simple push of the release button. The switch to go from low speed to high is located on top and is very easy to see and use. The rubberized hand grip provides for comfortable and slip-free use! It is considerably longer than my old trimmer, coming in at just under 6 feet, with battery. If you’re looking for a great trimmer/edger at a great price, look no farther than right here!

I love the light weight of the cutter and how quiet it runs. the only problem so far is, after about 10 months, itsstarting to act up. after 15 minutes or so it shuts down and after 20-30 seconds you can run again for about a minute.
