The variable speed trigger and 2-speed switch deliver increased control for any application. The adjustable 11 in. – 13 in. cutting width allows you to optimize your trimmer for increased run time or a wider cut swath. This lightweight and well-balanced design also has an adjustable front handle for user comfort and is equipped with a 4.0 Ah battery for extended run time. i bought this die to my neighborhood switching our yard work people they do a terrible job trimming the grass. so i was forced to buy this on my own to use im very happy with it. does as needed. there are abit of draw back. If your a ryobi user you should understand the hp battery this tool does not have the two contact on the back to help with hp battery. From what i recall brushless tool work best with hp battery i still use the hp battery on the trimmer but have no idea if it boosting it or not. secondly they did not handle the vibration it very noticeable and after long use my use will be num and cant move i have to use salt bath water in order to free em. But the tool does as intended will still recomend

I got just the tool because I already had batteries and chsrgers. It was easy to assemble in about 10 minutes. Used a 6.0Ah battery and was able to trim my whole yard. Still had half a charge left in the battery. It was a little heavier than I expected but had good balance and was easy to maneuver. Line fed out well. The line cut is set at 13″ but can be changed to 15″. I may try that next time. Overall seems to be what I wanted.

I got tired of dragging a cord all over the yard so did a little research and settled on this guy. Not a negative thing to say about it. The battery lasts lots long enough for three lawn cuttings of a reasonably large yard. Haven’t changed the string yet but it looks like a pretty simple procedure. Has lo and high speed setting. Low is lots fast enough for yard trimming. The string life is good. I like it so much I went and got an 18+ leaf blower as well. They seem like good products……..time will tell.

I have owned it for 45 days and absolutely believe it is the the best trimmer out there. It is balanced and the handle is in a very comfortable position. I have a few other tools that use 18v battery so it was a perfect choice for me. Built very well and I used the speed line winder for the first time and it could not have been easier to fill the spool. I use it on low setting and the power is more than I expected.

Fairly good unit, cuts great when it will run. Apparently there are not enough or deep enough cooling fins on the stepping motor control box. Another owner added a second fan on the motor, aimed at that controller, and unit ran continuously thereafter. Mine failed completely after one year.
