I own the previous 280 cfm 100 mph Ryobi Blower with the clear tube and cannot say enough good things about. The only negative was how noisy it is. I bought this one to be a good neighbor. If only Ryobi could combine the best of both. The switch and handle design was more comfortable on the previous one, yet the quietness of the new whisper series is very impressive. I tried both side by side on silver dollar sized leaves on dirt. With the turbo button pushed the whisper series blower appears to blow a slightly larger volume of air. Without the turbo button pushed it didn’t do as good as the older one. It also appears that the turbo mode will drain the battery faster than using the old style on high did. To make it quiet they made the tube bigger and rely on volume and not as much speed of the air. So for blowing off driveways or a patio, the whisper series works great and keeps the neighbors happy. But for really large jobs you’d be asking it to do a lot. When the sound isn’t a issue I’ll still use the older Ryobi blower.

Very quiet, effective blower. Weight is good but balance is slightly forward so it’s easier to use with two hands. Turbo mode is crucial. Make sure you have an additional battery or two if you plan on doing the whole lawn.

I’m going to presume that this device is doing what it is supposed to do. 110mph 410CFM sounds like a lot, but for my needs, it is insufficient. I have many trees that produce a lot of leaves and it really does not move them as efficiently as I had expected it would do. That may be my error in understanding how effective this device would be, but if you have a lot of leaves, you need a stronger one. Other than that, it is easy to assemble and use. I found that the high speed was the only thing that works at all for my needs. You have to keep pressing on the switch to keep it running at high speed, it will not lock “on.” This gets tiring. The same thing applies to the “blow” function that only works when your squeezing it. But, all in all, it works. I should have tried it out in the store before I bought it. It is acceptable, and might work well for some needs and for those people I recommend it. But not for heavy ongoing use.

To start with, when I hit the turbo button on top I almost lost control of the blower.I have 2 other 18v Ryobi Blowers but this one seems to have more power than the 2 of them put together.I highly recommend this Ryobi product.

I really haven’t used it enough to really review this correctly. The only thing I can really say at this point is… After using it a couple of times I’ve noticed that if I use the Turbo function at all it uses up too much of the battery life! Making the convenience of this option Not really a convenience at all if you have to stop and go get new batteries. Other than that it seems to do everything I need it to.

This blower is ok for small jobs. It goes through batteries very quickly. It also builds a static charge you will notice.

Performs as advertised!

The only complaint is the battery runs down after 5 minutes of blowing. Other than that I like the speed.

I researched the various Ryobi Models and decided that his one would be the best for my needs (end unit townhouse with 2 large oak tress nearby). Great for grass clippings and leaves in the fall. The turbo button seems to double the air output and does a great job speeding up yard work, however, it really does drain the battery so if this is your first Ryobi, you might want to consider getting a second battery (I had two others).
