Hammers through concrete as expected. Remember this is a light duty hammer drill, not a jack hammer. Accepts only plain drill shafts, not heavy duty instruments for heavy duty hammers. Others complain that the drill bit loosens but I have not found that problem if the bit is tightened as much as possible. Does not have hammer only function, only drill hammer or drill. Seems to use more battery power than ordinary drill, as expected.

I can’t believe how good this drill is and what a deal on sale. I’ve only used it once so far to drill in concrete and it worked perfectly. It is much more convenient then my cord powered hammer drill. I’m sure this will work for most projects I am doing and I have the larger drill for those big jobs. It will also work well as a second drill when I’m drilling holes and fastening at the same time.

Works as advertised. I bought about 8-10 Ryobi products from Thanksgiving to Christmas in 2020. Couldn’t pass them up. They are all great and this hammer drill goes nicely into concrete. I’ve had to use a typical drill for concrete before and it sucks. This did the job just as I hoped. much easier.
