Haven’t actually had a chance to use these yet (I bought 2) They are to replace a Ni-cad battery that does not like cold weather. These new Lithium batteries charge up with no problem. But, as a precaution I have bought them to the heated indoors rather than the un-heated garage.

Good, solid feeling tool. The only issue was the chuck vibrating loose and dropping the bit once or twice. Really have to tighten the chuck but I have only used it a couple of times. Definitely got the job done quickly though.

I can’t believe how good this drill is and what a deal on sale. I’ve only used it once so far to drill in concrete and it worked perfectly. It is much more convenient then my cord powered hammer drill. I’m sure this will work for most projects I am doing and I have the larger drill for those big jobs. It will also work well as a second drill when I’m drilling holes and fastening at the same time.

Many improvements over my original RYOBI drill purchased many years ago. the worklight has been repositioned and torque presets are separate from the drill function. I also opted for the hammer drill function. Tool performs as well. Having a little trouble with the auto-lock chuck but we’ll give it some time to loosen up.

I hung 200 high bay lights in concrete with this drill at a recent job. Wouldn’t suggest using more then a 4ah battery on it, handle broke third day. It started smoking on the 7th day. But it has a good warranty so no biggie.

This drill does everything. It has drill screw and hammer modes and is not noticeably heavier than a normal drill. I bought this to replace a corded hammer drill I won’t claim Ryobi is the best but I’m going on 10 batteries and as many tools and the family is remarkably complete. It lets me work off grid almost as productively as in town.

Hammers through concrete as expected. Remember this is a light duty hammer drill, not a jack hammer. Accepts only plain drill shafts, not heavy duty instruments for heavy duty hammers. Others complain that the drill bit loosens but I have not found that problem if the bit is tightened as much as possible. Does not have hammer only function, only drill hammer or drill. Seems to use more battery power than ordinary drill, as expected.
