The drill/driver features a 1/2 in. keyless chuck with a 24-position clutch and 2- speed gear box that adjusts the torque output to control the depth of the screw or fastener. This kit is powered a lithium-ion battery that holds a charge up to 4X longer, offers up to 20% more run time and is 45% lighter weight than Ni-Cd batteries. Backed by the RYOBI 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, the 18-Volt ONE+ Drill/Driver Kit includes an 18-Volt ONE+ 1.5 Ah Compact Lithium-Ion Battery, an 18-Volt ONE+ Charger, a double ended bit, and an operator’s manual. The RYOBI 21-Piece Black Oxide Drill Bit Set is a great kit for a wide variety of drilling applications. After 2 uses the Chuck came off so HD replaced with another. I’ve only used the new one once so it’s too early to rate but HD is always great at returns and or exchanges.

The chuck allows loading larger bits, but the developed torque falls below what some might need for those same larger bit applications. The tool does fit in to the Ryobi tool line well and the continuity of battery makes it a welcome addition to my toolbox.

So far so good…..hate when they ask for a review 2 or 3 weeks after you buy a product but outta the box I’ve used it for basic drilling of pilot holes in 2x4s and did well. Did about 100 pilot holes for 3″ screws. Down the road I might give 5 stars but not when a tool is only 2 to 3 weeks old.
