The Ryobi One+ 9in. 18-Volt LI edger is satisfactory for “quick” jobs. The 18-Volt LI battery last about 5 minutes on average. Rarely can I finish anything started unless I wait for a full recharge. Conclusion, if you only have an average driveway to edge, this will work in one charge. If you need to edge additional sidewalk, or near the road too…forget about it unless you buy an extra $100+ battery to go with it.

I needed an edger that maintains the current edge I have. Since I have other Ryobi 18v tools, I ordered this tool only. It’s not as powerful as a gas edger, but it works fine for my needs. I like that the depth is adjustable since I’m edging from lawn, not concrete (driveway/sidewalk). So far, it’s worked well on the approximately 75 yards of pre-cut edging I have.
