This drill is light weight strong and operates smoothly at any speed. The chuck is useful for rapid tip changes with minimum effort.you can use it in tight spaces and the battery lasts longer that the regular drill.I also like that you can use the same battery type in other tools.

This tool is amazing. If Ryobi comes out with a better one, I’ll buy that and keep this one. This has an amazing power and has felt people surprised at the amount this bad girl! A lot of people who like Mikita, DeWalt & Milwaukee that also love to bash these guys have been surprised with this sexy lady! Even though Rigid, Milwaukee and Ryobi are owned by TTI, Ryobi needs to step up harder to the contractor/pro level. They seriously need to brake away from DIY section.Make no mistake with this tool. 3 or 4aH battery will do perfect work!

I worked on a construction project with my nephew who owned a Ryobi impact driver. After using the tool, I immediately knew I needed to have one of my own. Within a couple of days I ordered my own. I have used my Ryobi drivers several times within days of my purchase and I am very impressed with the quality and performance.

I got this because my old Ryobi P235 was getting a bit long in the tooth and this went on sale. I think this tool is well worth the upgrade. The impact driver is probably my most used tool and has replaced my drill for most things. On the PLUS side: Plenty of power to drive stuff in, no complaints. I love that the LEDs are all the way around, come one when you tap the trigger (before it starts spinning) and stay on after you stop. This was one thing the old one sucked at if you happened to be in a dark space. It’s like having a flashlight right where you need it. LOVE IT! The controls are all easy to get to and intuitive like the old one. It’s a bit heavier but still well balanced and ends up slightly shorter in length so I count it as an improvement.I like the snap in chuck too.Still a NEGATIVE: The tool and magnet holders on the old tool usually meant whatever I put in them would be lost somewhere because it didn’t really have any gripping power. The new tool has the same useless magnet and one less useless tool holder. Just seems like after fifteen years, this could be better. Not a deal breaker but a little disappointing (hey, now you know, so maybe you won’t be disappointed too 🙂 ).

This is my second impact. Not because the first one died, but because it’s built like other Ryobi tools and we needed a second impact so my fiancé could help with our deck build. Battery life is great and lots of power. It can twist the head off from lag bolts without a problem if they aren’t drilled first.
