I received this unit for Father’s Day from the sons-in-law. My first battery powered tool. All my others are corded and I always complained that I never had enough extension cords for the task at hand. I was very surprised at how quiet the unit is. I did a side-by-side test with another national brand on driving screws through 3/4 inch Ash and joined it to a pine 2×4. It drove the 4 inch screw with no difficulty, did not bog down the motor, and the quietstrike lived up to the name. No complaints from the wife on drilling wood in the living room (she never knew it was there, until she walked in). I should have done this sooner. JAF

Exactly what I was looking for.

I’m not in the trades and don’t use it professionally. I’m a diyer and I do some woodworking. I’ve had it for a few years, and I’ve had no issues. Like my other Ryobi tools, no complaints.

I love this drill/screw driver. Handles nicely trigger speed control is smooth and easy. Soft strike is powerful and quiet. Better drill than my drill, better screw driver too. However my drill does have torque settings that will save driving the screw too hard; holding soft pressure on the trigger of this tool works almost as well, but being a pulse tool this tool will drive your screws far harder than than a drill, easily stripping the the screw hole or the screw head.Bit clip on front and magnetic bit/screw holder are a ‘bit’ of wishful thinking; don’t use unless you enjoy climbing up and down the ladder.I Can’t comment on belt clip since I didn’t get one!!!!!HD Curbside pick-up brought me a tool that was extensively used, and missing the bit, and belt clip. This tool should never have been re-shelved as new!

Great tool that I have done tons of projects with. I love how quiet it is compared to the other ryobi impact drill with no loss of torque

If you’re going to use this for light house hold duties, it’s pretty good for that. But I wouldn’t recommend it for anything heavy duty. Tried testing it out and used this to drive a 4″ #14 Spax screw into a stud and it stalled out (4AH battery used). Kind of figured it would, but I thought I’d give it a try. My Gen III Milwaukee finished it without breaking a sweat.

I had previously purchased a corded impact driver for a large masonry project I was doing. I’ve seen it used but had not used it myself. The loud impacting sound it made rang my ears. Since then, I’ve learned to use a headset but this made me hesitant to purchase a smaller more mobile, battery tool for my smaller projects. Then I saw this. Read the reviews and took a chance. I was delighted! Not only was the Quietstrike quieter, but it more than did the job I needed it for. The strength of the drill was impressive. It took a few times to get used to how it worked, but I’m more than happy. The true test came when I undertook the task to replace rotted wood on my shed. The RYOBI pulse driver cut down the time I estimated to do the job. Now I’m looking for my next project to use the driver! One other note, RYOBI is my brand choice especially since the battery is interchangeable with other RYOBI tools I own and are equally reliable.

I love the fact that I can do household projects now while my wife is still asleep. With the quiet strike impact drill she sleeps right thru my extreme home make overs!!!

Really like the quiet strike, much preferred to my regular Ryobi impact driver. Let’s noise and less likely to strip Phillip’s head screws.Like the three LEDs for illumination. Would be fine stars except Ryobi tools the light does not come on until the chick is turning. I need to see the screw before my birthday contacts it. Come on Ryobi, your competitor’s able do this.

Long story, but I ran over my old one with a bush hog! This is slightly smaller and a lot quieter than the one it replaced. Very easy to use, belt clip is new on this one, and came free with the battery promotion. Have a whole pile of these tools, and all are great value, and nicely made.

Have other ryobi tools this did not disappoint either. Great product

I dont know if I like the pulse type. It definately does not have the power of my older driver. Not what I thought it was.

Great tool does what I need it to do

This is a great backup to my DeWalt drill driver set. It is definitely heavier. I picked it up during Ryobi days sale and am very happy with the purchase!

I am extremely happy with this driver. Also love the Ryobi family of products that work off a common battery.

I bought this on day two of my chicken coop build. It was a night and day difference from my Black and Decker “drill” that I had before (which now looks like a glorified hand powered screw driver). Pilot holes, and putting in screws is a breeze! This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. (pro tip: but the impact tools kit too for drill bits and other heads)

Best drive ever!

Impact drivers make such a huge impact with every project whether it is around the house or making woodworking projects. I have used this for hours in every climate and it does not disappoint. I also am incredibly clumsy and have dropped it on a multitude of occasions and still performs fantastically without any changes. I also cannot get over how quiet it is, especially working on projects for awhile being tired this is a game changer. I used a family members Ryobi impact driver and there is a huge difference in noise and at the end of the day its great.
