I purchased this tool to replace an old B&D trimmer I’ve had for years because the batteries were no longer available. Since the 6″ Shrubber is part of the Ryobi One 18V Series I have plenty of batteries to keep it powered. There are times when you just need to trim a few unruly twigs from your hedge and this little trimmer does the job. It’s light, short, and adaptable to trim grass as well as shrubs. It was exactly what I was looking for in a short hedge trimmer.

The compact size is great, the power is plenty, and the length of the shrubber trimmer worked great. It’s a great bargain if you already have a bunch of batteries already, like, I do. It’s nearly half the price if you don’t need the battery / charger. I have yet to try the grass trimmer, but it looks like it will do the job where my yard and path don’t get cut by my mower, due to the angle and shape of my mower.
