Haven’t actually used it yet. My wife asked if I would like to trim her bush. And I thought, “well, a man can’t love a woman more than that!” So I bought this for her as a Christmas present. She hasn’t spoken to me since. Maybe overcome with excitement waiting for the growing season? I’m confused.Nevertheless, the trimmer promises to do the shrubbery job nicely. The build quality is consistent with other One+ Ryobi products already in the arsenal. Happy to report that I’ve had better luck working with those than in spousal communication.

I use the hedge trimmer to clear my garden beds in the fall. It’s a snap with the trimmer compared to using regular hand pruners. Bought this to replace old Black and Decker similar product – it had a non replaceable battery, much less power and less run time. The Ryobi is heavier, but much more efficient. And it fits in with the whole Ryobi ONE system so I don’t have to have multiple chargers and different batteries.

I like the power and cutting action of the grass shears. It is far better than my old Makita grass shears which could barely cut grass, especially long blades of grass. The Ryobi shears are a God-send for my arthritic fingers since I have been using manual grass shears instead of my old Makita. My only complaint is that I had to buy the hedge trimmer attachment with the grass shears since I don’t have any hedges to cut! Ryobi should sell the grass shears alone for customers like me that don’t need the hedge trimmer attachment.
