This versatile vacuum doubles as a directional blower and includes a utility accessory that attaches directly to the exhaust output for a quick and easy change from vacuum to blower. The 6 ft. x 1-1/4 in. extendable hose is transparent, giving you optimal visibility of debris as it is vacuumed, and the pivoting air inlet port makes for easy hose management. The Project Vacuum has a Flat-top design for convenient stacking and storage. The 18-Volt ONE+ 4.0 Ah LITHIUM+ HP Battery provides superior runtime, power, and performance, this battery can take on more demanding applications than ever before with the introduction of HP Technology. Good power and attachments. The 6 ft. hose is not really adequate though. Recommend purchasing extension wands in order to get full use from this vac.

I have only used this a couple of times so far, but the first impressions are positive. On the plus side: 1) It’s very light, so easy to carry to wherever needed; 2) it’s surprisingly strong. Although it isn’t as powerful as my floor standing Shop-Vac, the Ryobi is meant for lighter duty; 3) the hose and attachments stow easily; and, 4) the large collection section is easy to empty. The one negative is that it requires a lot of energy so it drains batteries quickly. I recommend using a 3ah battery to make sure you can complete your job. If you use it as a dust collector attached to a tool such as a miter saw, plan to have a couple of spare batteries handy if you’re doing more than just a few cuts.Several reviewers mentioned having issues with batteries not working with it. Fortunately, I did not have that issue and it worked well right out of the box.

This is nice and easy to carry but the vacuum power leaves a little to be desired. The hose is too short and there is no place for onboard storage of extension wands. Using the utility nozzle as a diffuser is pretty slick feature though. It does what it needs to do but with some simple improvements it could be 4 star or better.

I would recommend this vacuum for everyone. This 18-Volt 3 gal. Ryobi Vacuum is great around the shop and when out on other jobs. It is nice not needing a power cord for the vacuum. The only thing is this vacuum does run the batteries down quickly. Make sure you have a few charged batteries if you are running the vacuum for a long time.
