Bought this Ryobi ONE+ Orbital Sander for some siding work I did on my house. Work was easy as unit is light weight, easy to handle and replacing sanding pads is very easy. No extension cords to bother with. I’m sure there will be many other uses for it .

First one made it about 2 months of light use, then the switch stuck and wouldn’t turn on. I attempted to tear it down to see what was wrong, but never could get it disassembled. I tossed it in the trash and bought another one, this time with the extra $6 for the warranty. This one didn’t make it past 2 weeks, same thing happened. Only sanding the putty from some trim boards. There is a defect in the switch design obviously. Sent Ryobi a feedback message. Will exchange this one and hope for the best. Of all my Ryobi tools, this one is the only that has failed.

I bought this sander about 2 months ago, use it almost every day. Nice dust collector exhaust port. Comes with dust collector bag. Which works very well. Hook and loop is very strong. I’ve used this sander did probably more than it’s intended too. Its my main sander I turn to every time. Weather I’m working on metal or wood. The finish product comes out great. My other name brand orbital sanders and just bench sitters now.

I haven’t used it a lot yet, but I do like it. Of course, the first one I bought, I didn’t think worked correctly and took it back. This doesn’t work like a normal orbital sander, spinning constantly. The description is a bit misleading, in that it references 10k orbits. Called customer service line, and was told that my concern/question was one of the most common they get for this item.
