This unit is 23% more compact compared to the previous model (P400) and includes sample sandpaper to get you started. I’m new to woodworking and got this in a kit. It was easy to plane some boards and the dust collection with a vacuum is really good. I used a 4Ah battery (non-hp) and it ate the battery really quickly. I get it’s a brushed tool so have another battery ready and you should be good. Overall I’m pretty happy with it.

We opened the box, installed the battery, installed a Cutter, and put the router to use immediately.It worked really great, it’s small size was very easy to use like maneuvering around scrolls and other zigzagging things. We were really able to router the edges of quite a few things before the battery died on us. Remember that was the battery came in the box and so whatever charges and there was was,Left over from manufacturing.My son had another battery all charged up so we plug that in and just kept going

While this is definitely an entry/diy level tool, it’s been impressive so far. Plenty of power, the depth adjustment is simple and effective, and the shape is actually really comfortable in the hand. I use mid level router bits and got very little to no burning and zero chip out. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get started with router work. Especially at the sale price I got it at.
