I’m sure it’s some kind of safety or something, but it sometimes stops and you have to switch it off and back on when using it heavily and bogging it good. Probably a good thing, but some times is inconvenient, don’t know if anyone else has this issue or not. Like how quite the grinder is compared to my corded grinder and the quickly adjustable guard. Works great as I already have a large amount of RYOBI 18V batteries and chargers, Love the RYOBI 18 Volt system for how good the tools are in quality and reasonable pricing.

This quality and utility of this tool matches that of the many other Ryobi tools I have and use. It is light weight but powerful and its size makes it possible to fit into smaller spaces. The guard is difficult for me to adjust easily (my arthritic hands don’t help) but that small shortcoming is little criticism for a wonderful tool.

I needed to sharpen my rotary mower blades and bought this instead of a bench grinder. It put an excellent edge on the blades with having to remove them from the mower. I haven’t used the cut-off wheel yet, but expect it will be strong, too.
