The battery in this kit features lithium-ion battery cells, providing the user with up to 1.5X more runtime compared to Ni-Cd counterparts. The 18-Volt ONE+ Dual Chemistry IntelliPort Charger is compatible with all RYOBI ONE+ lithium-ion batteries and features IntelliPort Technology to maximize the lifetime of your RYOBI batteries. The tool is fine but the attachment of the pads to the bottom with the string is just awful. The application pad is not rough enough to take material from the Ryobi abrasive sticks so it can be applied to surface being polished. This needs a rethink by Ryobi.
