After running back over the cord of my corded belt sander twice, I decided to go cordless. This is a good cordless tool. The belts are easy to put on and adjustments are straightforward, no tools involved. It is a little slower than a corded sander and not as powerful but it gets the job done. If it was a little more powerful I would have given it five stars. I know that it is a cordless tool and there are some compromises. Keep that in mind and this sander will be a good addition to your tool collection.

The sander is a quality product, works well, but the battery with the charger 2ah only lasts 10 minutes, I had to upgrade costing an additional 90 dollars.

Was easy to set up. Only issue was the tracking was way off. Used it a few times works well for a small belt sander.

Of the 7 Ryobi tools I have so far this is the only one I have been disappointed in. The tool itself is great but the battery life is seriously disappointing. I get about 5min of sanding (or barely both sides of one 8′ 2×6 board) out of a 4ah battery. This isn’t Ryobi’s fault just be aware that you’ll need a ton of batteries to get any large sanding projects done.
