Bought this product and put it to work on an outside counter top. It worked well and stood up to the heavy use. I am well satisfied with this tool.

sanding paper shifts off of tool, which requires frequent stopping to slide back on. No clamps to prevent it from continuing to slide off. The torque is rather powerful so must be strong enough to resist the pull or else no actual sanding is achieved. Battery power is used up quickly, recommend having 2 batteries. I wouldn’t buy this again. Orbital sander is easier to use and still achieves great results. I will be keeping this one and only using for rough sanding of clamped wood only. Without clamps there is enough torque to catapult a 2×4 board that is 75 inches long.

Very good cordless sander. Just as good as Makita but much cheaper

the sander works great but like some others my sand paper keeps falling out of holder. problem is the the clamp is to loose. just take and bend steel hold down clamp rod it makes it hold paper with a little more force i have never lost another sheet

Way more handy than my corded version; especially when working outside on the house or barn or whatever. This unit is slightly on the heavy side if using the 4 or 6AH batteries (especially on vertical surfaces); accordingly, I generally use the 2AH battery to lower the overall weight while working with this unit. The only drawback on this unit is how tight the clamping system is when using the 1/4 sheet clamp-on system…if my fingers got any fatter I would have to use the stick-on sanding sheets.

Drill was easily loaded with paper and I was off and sanding immediately

Great lightweight sander. Used to sand bookshelves before staining them. Comfortable grip, acceptable noise level. For light projects around the home I would recommend it.

Another great product by Ryobi. I love being able to use one battery for all my tools.

This finish sander is such an improvement to my old corded sander. It does an amazing job for the price. It’s quieter and less fatiguing to use. And i must say that the dust control acutally works, even without a vacuum hose attached. A truly cordless sander that works, period!

The bag attached that’s supposed to collect the sawdust easily falls off and doesn’t really work too well.

Works great, battery life is better than expected.

It has just enough suction for small jobs that is a great tool to have

This is a good light duty sander. The on-ff switches are a bit hard to press in. maybe they’ll loosen up over time. The strangest thing is that you can’t buy the paper it comes with, with the six holes. They provide a paper punch for use with other larger sheets of paper, which then has to be cut to fit the sander. Seems a bit odd, no? Anyway, not a huge deal, but it would be nice to buy pre-punched paper.

It works very well in all regards. My only issue is that it is akward to hold.

I haven’t upgraded my finishing sander since 1997. This baby is great, vibration is minimal, light weight and easy to use. I have been updating and upgrading my tools and have bought all Ryobi 18 volt tools and am very happy so far with them. This little sander is well worth buying, Two Thumbs Up.
