The brushless motor produces speeds of up to 850 FPM, providing the user with true corded performance with cordless convenience. With a low-profile design and a tool-free 5-position pommel handle, this sander is able to get into tight spaces while providing a more comfortable and customizable user experience. Additional features include tool-free belt tracking and a lock-on switch to maximize user control and convenience while you work. The 18-Volt ONE+ Cordless Fixed Base Trim Router allows the user to create the perfect edge with the correct router bit and optional woodworking base. With 29,000 RPM, you can trim quickly and efficiently. The router features a compact design for fine routing. Best of all, it’s a part of the RYOBI ONE+ System of over 175 Cordless Tools that all work on the same battery platform. I have yet to use it so I can not give a solid review, the only thing I can say rite now is that it looks alot bigger in the pictures than what it really is, the construction seems very solid and based off the size and weight it to me would be very comfortable to use and easy to control/guide. I can say though that that is the 11th Ryobi +one tool I have bought, I absolutely would recommend them and have not had one complaint with them and also the fact that one battery fits every tool alone blows the rest of the competition out of the water!! I’ve used them all and the Ryobi’s are made with the same quality and toughness as all the high dollar big brands!!

Bought this for a simple routing job, and it did the job. Read the reviews about the depth setting drifting during use. It did for me until I realized that I was trying to cut too much material in one pass. Take it slow and don’t try to hog it and this works fine. Like other reviews, I did find the switch location on the back of the router inconvenient. You have to carefully position the router before fumbling for the switch. Overall, for the price, it works well, but only if you already have a battery and charger. If you have to purchase those as well, you might be better to look further.

We opened the box, installed the battery, installed a Cutter, and put the router to use immediately.It worked really great, it’s small size was very easy to use like maneuvering around scrolls and other zigzagging things. We were really able to router the edges of quite a few things before the battery died on us. Remember that was the battery came in the box and so whatever charges and there was was,Left over from manufacturing.My son had another battery all charged up so we plug that in and just kept going
