I bought the saw about two weeks ago and have been very pleasantly surprised by its performance. Several years ago I was gifted a cordless circular saw and used it once or twice. The power was poor and battery life abysmal. The new Ryobi has shined in both of those categories. I have used it for light construction type projects and it has done very well cutting paneling as well as dimensional lumber. I also build furniture but have not tried it on hardwood so can’t comment on that yet. Overall I would recommend the saw for those needed a cordless saw.

THIS SAW PERFORMS LIKE A CORDED SAW; WITHOUT THE CORD

This is an awesome. It is small and compact, and I like the fact it doesn’t spin long after turning it off.

I have a lot of ryobi tools and ive never had a problem. Thats why i keep buying them. I wanted to upgrade my circ saw since it is very old. Got this and after a few crooked cuts i measured the blade, and from front to back, it is not aligned straight. And its off by a significant amount. Returned it and got a new one. Same problem, only in reverse. Instead of the saw pulling left, it now pulls right. Really disa pointed. The saw is quiet and cuts great, but not straight. By the looks of these reviews, it seems my problem is not unique Guess ill return again and hope the third time is the charm!

powerful, effective saw. 3Amp battery hours was sufficient for this.

I bought this item for a recent project and it exceeded me expectations. I have always been a fan of Ryobi. Ended up buying $500+ of Ryobi products after this purchase because I kept wanting more tools lol.
