The included battery features lithium-ion cells, providing the user with over 50% more runtime compared to the (P102) 18-Volt ONE+ Lithium-Ion 1.3 Ah Compact Battery. Featuring Extreme Weather Performance, this battery can withstand frigid weather conditions and is engineered to deliver fade-free power for maximum performance. Best of all, it is part of the RYOBI ONE+ System of over 175 cordless tools that all work on the same battery platform. Although I still use my older blue 18v jigsaw, I wanted an improved version for more delicate work making or reworking furniture. This fit the need well. One of the better features is the ease in changing the blade which does not require any screwdriver or wrench. This speeds up any work being done and makes it easier to change between cutting woods and metals.
