Ryobi’s band saw fills the bill for a person that is into diy projects. It is easy to operate, accurate in the cuts and affordable. I have use more robust, lets say professional grade band saws, but they cost several hundred dollars more. My experience with the ryobi saw has been that for a person that is not going to put it through a everyday beating like a professional may experience this saw is very capable and does a excellent job. It comes with two saw bands and is very easy to install the band.I never considered the unique cuts that a portable band saw could make, falling back to a hack saw or reciprocal saws until my electrician pulled his out to cut a metal conduit for a weatherhead installation. It cut quickly, without the vibration of a reciprocal and was much faster than the hacksaw. I was sold at that point. Ryobi came out with this saw and it fit right in with my other 18 volt ONE+ tools and it cost less than half of a Milwaukee or DeWalt.
