RYOBI introduces the 18-Volt ONE+ Cordless 3-1/4 in. Planer and 1/4 Sheet Sander with Dust Bag (Tools Only). This planer has an incredible 3 in. to1/4 in. cut width and up to 1/16 in. cutting depth per pass. The 3-1/4 in. Planer is loaded with great features such as its automatic kickstand which helps prevent you from marring your work piece and has a convenient on-board blade wrench storage. The dual left or right chip exhaust also gives you the freedom to choose what you are most comfortable with. The ONE+ 1/4 Sheet Sander is great if used for a variety of finishing applications and its cordless convenience makes it easy to move from jobsite to jobsite or for DIY jobs anywhere around your home. It features a 1/4 sheet design that works with a majority of sandpapers and a lock on switch for easy operation. Its dust collection bag will keep your work surfaces clean, and its vacuum adaptor port will make clean up quick and easy (adaptor not included). With 12,000 RPMs and over 40 minutes of runtime, you will always have enough power to get the job done. Best of all, it is part of the RYOBI ONE+ System of over 175 Cordless Tools that all work on the same battery platform. Backed by the RYOBI 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, the 3-1/4 in. Planer and 1/4 Sheet Sander Kit includes two reversible double-edged blades, a blade wrench, an edge guide, a planer dust bag, a sander dust bag, sandpaper assortment, a paper punch, and operator’s manuals. No complaints. Auto blade guard is a minor annoyance, but not a big deal. Wish there was a way to lock it open for experienced woodworkers. Took about 16 feet of 3/8 inch x 2 inch off and battery was drained very little (I use the big ONE+ battery). Very nice to not have a power cord.
