RYOBI introduces the 18-Volt ONE+ 3-1/4 in. Planer, 1/4 Sheet Sander with Dust Bag, and Fixed Base Trim Router with Tool Free Depth Adjustment (Tools Only). This planer has a 3 in. to 1/4 in. cut width and up to 1/16 in. cutting depth. The 3-1/4 in. Planer features an automatic kickstand and a convenient on-board blade wrench storage. The dual left or right chip exhaust also gives you freedom to choose what you are most comfortable with. The 1/4 Sheet Sander is used for a variety of finishing applications. It features a 1/4 sheet design and a lock on switch for easy operation. Its dust collection bag will keep your work surfaces clean. With 12,000 RPMs and over 40 minutes of runtime, you will always have enough power to get the job done. This Trim Router allows the user to create the perfect edge with the correct router bit and optional woodworking base. With 29,000 RPM, you can trim quickly and efficiently. The router features a compact design for fine routing. Best of all, it is part of the RYOBI ONE+ System of over 175 Cordless Tools that all work on the same battery platform. Backed by the RYOBI 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, this kit includes the 3-1/4 in. Perfect small/ detail router for trim/ small projects. Certainly doesn’t replace my fixed table or plunge router, but good for detail work. Lots of power and small size. Kind of awkward to hold but can be used one handed without too much hassle.1.5aH batteries were hit or miss, heavier battery (4ah) had no problem, but made the unit a little too heavy.for the price can’t beat it for what you get!

This router is great. It is easy to handle and to adjust. It is super convenient to grab and get to work. It has all the power I need for round-overs and trimming. I haven’t tried anything more taxing on it yet.

Bought this for a simple routing job, and it did the job. Read the reviews about the depth setting drifting during use. It did for me until I realized that I was trying to cut too much material in one pass. Take it slow and don’t try to hog it and this works fine. Like other reviews, I did find the switch location on the back of the router inconvenient. You have to carefully position the router before fumbling for the switch. Overall, for the price, it works well, but only if you already have a battery and charger. If you have to purchase those as well, you might be better to look further.

While this is definitely an entry/diy level tool, it’s been impressive so far. Plenty of power, the depth adjustment is simple and effective, and the shape is actually really comfortable in the hand. I use mid level router bits and got very little to no burning and zero chip out. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get started with router work. Especially at the sale price I got it at.
