RYOBI introduces the Hybrid Stereo with Bluetooth Wireless Technology. Hybrid functionality means it will never run out of power with the option of powering the stereo with an 18-Volt ONE+ battery or an extension cord (both sold separately). Stream music wirelessly from a Bluetooth enabled device or connect an audio player through its auxiliary port. AM and FM stations can also be tuned in via the digital display. A USB port allows you to charge smartphones, tablets, and other portable devices. Best of all, it is part of the RYOBI ONE+ System of over 175 Cordless Tools that all work on the same battery platform. Backed by the RYOBI 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, this Hybrid Stereo with Bluetooth Wireless Technology includes two AAA alkaline batteries, an aux-in cable, and an operator’s manual. I received the Ryobi radio as a Christmas gift in 2020. While I am satisfied overall with my other Ryobi tools and recommended that my daughter also purchase a Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ set of tools, the radio’s AM performance is disappointing. I primarily purchased this radio to listen to the Rush Limbaugh program who is carried in our local market on AM. I can put the Ryobi radio next to another radio and while the AM station reception comes in strongly on that radio it can be barely heard on the Ryobi. I have resorted to connecting my phone to the radio either through bluetooth or through the Aux jack to live stream the program from internet stations. Not what I was expecting to have to do. Otherwise the Aux, bluetooth, and FM features are functional. The style and durability of the radio are nice. The ability to power it with an extension cord is also a good idea as is the USB charging port. The instruction manual is well written and in the same format as other Ryobi tool manuals. If the AM reception was far better, it would rate 5 stars.

Good overall sound, if a little bass heavy. For voice, news etc I zero out the bass setting. Would prefer usb be an audio input, not just power, but ok it’s there. Nice upgrade from the smaller one, hope the bubble switches last longer…
