This cordless Jig Saw is great! The only other jig saw I ever used was an old corded one that always felt awkward, the blades were always bending, and it was hard to use. This one has a blade guide and cuts completely different in that it doesn’t just go straight up and down – it cuts with an orbital motion. It makes less jerking-feeling on the saw, which my hands appreciate. It has a light at the front so you can see just where to cut (you do have to stop and blow the sawdust out of the way at times). It is easy to go around corners too. The other great thing, besides the job it does – the blade is very easy to change. No more having to carry a tool with you to change a blade. This saw did feel pretty heavy when I picked it up, but when I started using it, it felt really comfortable.

I am a happy owner of many Ryobi products. Honestly, I was not a big fan of the Ryobi brand a few years ago, because of many things, well, the color, design, and the brand’s target to DIY users. I changed my yang of Ryobi after I bought its string trimmer for really good price. I started to think that I probably don’t need to spend a lot money on pro-level tools because Ryobi’s quality seems decent and its price is unbeatable. I know there is a non-brushless version of the cordless JIG saw out there, and I don’t have one for side by side comparison. But after unboxing, I am surprised by the build quality of this brushless jig saw. It’s definitely more polished most of my other Ryobi products (maybe because it is brushless and thus on the more premium side?) The bottom metal shoe seems to be made of really good material, the hand feels very comfortable to hold in my hand. It has a good amount of weight. By the way, there is a free saw blade that comes with the package. I have not got a chance to use it on a wood project yet, but I am already excited to plan for the next one (for example, a radiator cover which is on my TODO list).

I do a lot of home improvement projects and I wanted to add to my power tool collection so I chose this Ryobi One+ HP 18V brushless cordless jig saw. The locking trigger gives me more control for detailed cutting and the brushless motor delivers faster cutting and longer run time so I can finish projects in less time. I also like being able to change the blades faster with the easy release blade lever. Really love this tool.

RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ HP Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Jig Saw (Tool-Only)I selected the Ryobi ONE+ HP jig saw to add to my current Ryobi cordless tools. I like that it is cordless eliminating the dragging out the extension cord for my corded jigsaw. The jig saw handles nice and is well balanced. Being a brushless model, it is powerful enough to handle the work it is designed to handle. The saw came as ‘tool only’ meaning no battery included. With the Ryobi tools that I currently own, a simple battery swap from one tool to another was all that was needed to use. All ONE+ batteries work with this tool. Also to be noted is the locking button feature allowing tool to operate at a set speed without using the trigger. The tool also includes a variable speed control dial. The rubber grip on the handle help in absorbing the vibrations of the saw. The tool has a built in light and a blade guide. Blades are a snap to both install and remove with a single bar on the tool. The tool also has a tilt feature on the base. The brushless ONE+ HP tool stands for high performance and in my opinion it does live up to its name.Note: Tool OnlySome pics show tool with my battery and blades. (not included – sold seperately)

Uses T-style blades and they lock easily in place using the handy lever. The jigsaw included one blade and it worked well. I’ll buy more blades to give this saw a full test and more complete review soon. It feels comfortable to use and the light is handy to staying on target. The base plate slides nicely over wood and is easy to tilt for various degrees of angled edge cutting. The gauge was a little difficult to use to acquire a perfect 45 degree slant. Will take more practice … would have been nice if the ridges provided a “click” to ensure the place was locked exactly where I wanted it. Orbital adjustments allow for scrolling or curving cuts and will need a blade with 10-12 teeth. The batteries click in and out easily. This saw will get a lot of use.

Wow I was impressed by the weight of this Ryobi jigsaw. I also like the thickness of the wood blade (comes with it ) . This particular jigsaw does not come with a battery so you will have to purchase one for it or use one of your One Plus 18 volt batteries from your other Ryobi tools. I am making several small projects with this so it will work perfectly for them . Easy to handle , great weight in hand , clean cutting, and a bright light all make this tool a addition to my Ryobi collection.

This is my first jigsaw that I have owned, but I have used older corded jigsaws that I would never touch again after using this. It makes quick work of the job. It is the tool only, but I already have batteries for it. That being said, I tried this out on a pressure treated 2×4 to see how it would do. When you have it on w/out orbital cutting; it is smooth and accurate but slow. If you turn on the orbital cutting and higher speeds, it makes very quick work of the job, but it does leave a rougher cut and minor chipping; this might be corrected with different blades though. I love the LED light shining on the work surface too. I haven’t tried cutting metal or using it to cut designs as I only have a wood blade that came with it, and haven’t purchased others yet. It seems strong and sturdy, but with that it has some weight behind it. I like the trigger lock button as well and the blades are super easy to change with the quick detach. Also you can store extra blades in the base pad of the tool. I would recommend this product.

Ryobi Jig Saws have come a long way from my first (worn out) Ryobi Jig Saw of around 10 years ago. The LED light that lights the way at your point of sawing is great. The new brushless design serves up more power and I would think the batteries would last much longer. The trigger lock is very handy also. This lets you set the speed on this variable speed jig saw. I have not tried the Orbital Adjustment yet. This allows for a smother cut according to the material being sawed. This unit is for the tool only, no battery is included. I have many RYOBI battery tools so this was not a problem, ONE + batteries. The base can be adjusted from -45 degrees through +45 degrees for angle cutting. I highly recommend this Jig Saw.

This RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ HP Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Jig Saw replaced a thirty-year-old corded Craftsman Jig Saw that has seen lots of use over the years. I am impressed with the power and features of this Ryobi brushless jig saw. The light is really nice for lighting the work surface and highlighting the lines to be followed. The speed adjustment, blade tilt and blade replacement all operate smoothly and easily. I am probably way behind the times because I am real impressed with the T-Shank jig saw blades, they are so much easier to replace than the old U-Shank blades. The brushless motor provides plenty of power and it isn’t a battery hog. The RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ HP Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Jig Saw is a nice addition to my arsenal of Ryobi battery powered tools, I definitely would recommend it to others.
