It works OK. Right out of the box, I couldn’t get the base to adjust properly. When lowering the base, it would catch at some point, and so my cuts were always too deep.I called Ryobi, who referred me to the Home Depot Tool Rental Department (their recommended repair facility) to either have it fixed or tell me what I was doing wrong. The kid at Home Depot told me he didn’t even know what the tool was for… so no help at all. His only option was to return the router to Ryobi and wait for the return (several months, at least).After further banging and cursing, I used a wrench to adjust the depth gauge until it got past whatever was causing the stop. Turns out there is a plastic feature on the motor that is used to align the base and motor. It was too tall, so forcing the base past that point actually fixed the problem by shaving off the alignment feature.Now the router works as it should.
