Bought this to aid in gutting a basement room and bathroom where I needed to cut out a couple stud walls. This tool did not disappoint, and made my job much easier. The saw works with most standard reciprocating blades and changing out the blades is really easy.

I bought this saw for some home renovation and then it sat, for a few months it did its job, lots of power, went through 2×4’s like butter. It did the job I needed it for and once that was done it just sat. Well fast forward a few months and I’m trying my hand out at wood working, and got my hands on a 20″ cherry log. I needed to square up the ends so I could cut it into lumber and didn’t want to fire up my chainsaw. Thats where this saw stood out with 1 sharp blade I was able to cut both ends square on seasoned cherry! More power than I could dream. And because the blade stops moving immediately when you release the trigger i was able to do it safely and without hitting my cement floors

This Ryobi is very affordable and works great. I’ve paid a lot more for reciprocating saws, but this one performs just as well.

Only problem is cord does not fit snuggly into extension cord. Have to particularly position in order for saw to not shut off.

I like this saw! The blades are easy to swap out and the saw runs very smooth. I used it to saw the railings off of my deck and it cut through the cedar spindles easy. I slightly bend the blade that comes with the saw before I got all my job done, but I bought some other blades and replacing them was very simple.

I bought it when I was making a work bench to cut wood blocks precisely. It did the job fast and accurate and best part was I could take it to anywhere unlike other fixed saws. It alsi hekoed me cut some old water pipes and repair the problematic part. I 100% recommend it. Take care of it and it will take care of your projects 🙂

Works great! A little heavy for me but it is usable. I was able to cut through old logs that my small chain saw could not!

I have used the reciprocating saw many times now and I’m very pleased with it. The variable speed trigger is a good feature as well as the 12A power. The product is well made and is relatively light compared to other saws I’ve used.

I home was built in 1847. Every time I do remodeling the wood is harder then normal. Most of my power tools are battery and yes Ryobi and I killed my 18V Reciprocating saw till it was smoking. I pushed it way past it’s capability. Pick up my electric saw and was just amazed with it the power. I will buy a battery saw some day but use it on jobs it can handle. The electric saw will cut throw anything. Ryobi makes great tools you just got to know it’s limited some time you need the full electric power and cutting hand loomed logs seven inches thick and old.

The only complaint is that the blade clamp system does not firmly retain the blade. The alan screw retainer on other makes is much better.

Very helpful in a pinch to clean up some mistakes made while building a playhouse. Upgraded to a much larger blade and now I can zip right through 4×4 posts without a problem

I used this saw for a RIGOROUS job and it worked great. The only problem is, I BENT the blade that came with it. I bought another blade but it won’t fit.Does this saw ONLY take one size blade?Model: (RJ165VK)

It’s a good tool but after three months of use it sounds like there’s something loose inside manufacturer problem

Versatile and same power and capability like more expensive ones.

I bought the saw for the purpose of cutting up and disposing of a hot tub. It is a tough and strong tool. I am very happy with it. The job was a bit challenging, at times, but the saw pulled me through every obstacle. I definitely recommend it.
