Random Orbit Sander runs on a powerful 2.6 Amp motor and 12,500 OPM (orbits per minute) to deliver a smooth performance in a variety of sanding applications. Crafted with an ergonomic design for comfort as you work, the sander accepts hook and loop sandpaper for fast and easy grit changes and comes with an array of sandpaper for convenience. To help prevent accidental workplace gouging during start-up, the sander also features a spin-control pad braking system for added safety. Backed by the RYOBI 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, the 5 in. Random Orbit Sander includes a sandpaper assortment, a dust bag, and an operator’s manual.

I bought the sander to assist with my outdoor deck and gazebo refinishing project. It worked well. The only negative is that the dust collection bag is vey small and needed frequent emptying.

At first, I bought the cordless. When I opened the box, it was missing the battery and changer. So, I end-up returning the cordless and bought the corded. The sander was fine until i hit the corners. I had to the corners by hand. I wished the cordless would’ve included the battery & charger and that it was affordable to purchase as one instead purchasing the battery & charger separately.

Works like a bronco horse on the western slope the ryobi 5 random orbital electric sander is raw and rugged ready for any obstacle you put in front. Easily change the grit of the sand paper for different jobs. Bring along with all your tools. But don’t expect to act like all the rest you have ryobi the last stallion of the best!
