This trimmer replaced a 10 year old craftsman unit. Startup is a bit more involved than my old unit as it requires 3 separate steps. Once you get used to the procedures, it’s fairly easy. The trimmer has plenty of power, it idles smoothly, and my favorite feature is the easy string reload process. Long term reliability is unknown as I’ve had this for only 2 months but so far I am very pleased.

I bought this trimmer to replace my old Ryobi 2 cycle (when they were grey). That one lasted for 10 years so I figured to replace it with the new one. I was surprised by how much quieter this new one is. Starts easy and I really like the improved expand it screw tightener! (That was the only reason I got rid of the old one) I have a whole host of Ryobi tools and love them all!

This is the best trimmer I used. Compared to a trimmer that you would get at Lowe’s, this is a better trimmer and brand. I trust a Ryobi brand then a Craftsman brand. Because every time I used a Craftsman brand the equipment would not start. I had to Ryobi product and to start the product it is easy. First pull all it takes.Ryobi you did a great job.

I bought this trimmer on Saturday with the brush cutting attachment. I can actually see my house foundation. I can’t wait to get into the backyard to eat up more brush.the trimmer worked well also. Changing of attachments was very easy. This is my first Ryobi tool,l will be buying more.

This is my third Ryobi trimmer in the expand-it line. The last power head I purchased has lasted me over 4 years. I have a bigger than 1/2 acre yard and there is almost 100′ of fence line to trim and 50′ of sidewalk and driveway to edge every weekend. I also have the attachments for the blower and the tiller, so this unit gets a workout.
