I would have given this a four and a half if that rating was available. It arrived promptly, was easy to assemble, easy to start each time and runs well. Both the blade and string attachments kick butt and I’ve cut through countless small trees up to an inch in diameter with no problem. The only thing keeping me from a five star review is the handle would absolutely not stay in place and I solved that by using gorilla glue to cement the clamp to the shaft. In addition The cutting edge where it slips into the shaft will also turn each time I use it and I haven’t quite figured out how to fix that yet. Seems like the ball bearing should pop out farther than it does to engage it into the hole and no matter how hard I tighten the handle it moves after heavy cutting. I’ll have to see what I can figure out there.

I have only used this for a short time, will update review at a later date. The box it came in was all but destroyed however the store manager and I unboxed it and all appeared to be well. Got it home and filled with pre mixed fuel, primed it per directions. Pulled a couple times and off and running. I bought this to keep a large natural island in my yard in check and this machine is perfect.

The trimmer was easy to assemble and runs nice and smooth. It goes through the brush I’m after easily. The only thing that I would change is the throttle sensitivity. It’s minor, but it would be nice to have more power earlier on the trigger.
