Ordered thru Home Depot & received in a very timely manner. Instructions for assembling were straight forward & fine. First use was very disappointing. Didn’t cut the grass in a straight level; evidently wasn’t set right at the factory. Attempts to contact Ryobi both by internet & by phone were disappointing & unsatisfactory. However, Home Depot was very helpful by replacing the bad unit with a good unit. Everything works well except it doesn’t pick up leaves very well. Had to use my old gasoline driven mower to effectrively pick up the leaves. I have a large yard & the battery is very strong & was able to finish the whole yard in just a little over and hour & the battery was still strong & working very well.

It takes a little time to get used to. I am trying to figure out the best speed for me. I understand that the green handles are supposed to start it while the pulled back handle makes it move forward but when I use it is the other way around. I have used it 3 times and I am adapting to it. I am 72 years old and I wanted something easy for me to use. My lawn looks fine

Was skeptical of going battery when so many recommendations werr for gas. I didn’t want to deal with a gas mower, gas and oil changes so I went with this one and I’m happy I did. Takes care of my 1/4 acre lot nicely on a bi weekly basis. Any longer than that the battery runs out faster so keep in mind that if your grass is a bit too tall, it will take more juice from the battery to clean it all up in one shot.

For a relatively new technology, I am enjoying the being able to do my yard, without the maintenance required by a gas-based mower. The mower stops when going over small raised portions of my lawn; so, I haven’t tried to rely on the self-propelled feature yet. I enjoy the larger capacity battery, that allows me to cut my whole lawn on a single charge. I haven’t tried the mulch feature yet.
