I’ve used commercial grade landscaping mowers for years. This isn’t one, but for my 1/4 acre lot home it’s perfect!!! If you mow every week this is the mower for you. Just make sure to buy an extra battery or two. If you let the grass grow too tall it will use up batteries quick but if you keep yours a certain height this will work like butter. I like the mower 100% will recommend.

I cannot say anything bad about this purchase. My rechargeable weed trimmer is louder than this mower. With no fumes or vibrations. Very light weight. My yard takes about an hour to mow and the battery makes it , without using self propel. Plus it looks really cool.

Really the perfect mower to handle my hill. Has just enough battery for completing my flat front and sloped back yards before it needs to be charged. The hills in back would be very hard without the self-propelled aspect which does eat up battery but I don’t need it out front so it works!

Ordered thru Home Depot & received in a very timely manner. Instructions for assembling were straight forward & fine. First use was very disappointing. Didn’t cut the grass in a straight level; evidently wasn’t set right at the factory. Attempts to contact Ryobi both by internet & by phone were disappointing & unsatisfactory. However, Home Depot was very helpful by replacing the bad unit with a good unit. Everything works well except it doesn’t pick up leaves very well. Had to use my old gasoline driven mower to effectrively pick up the leaves. I have a large yard & the battery is very strong & was able to finish the whole yard in just a little over and hour & the battery was still strong & working very well.

Plug it in and it cuts grass. Does not have a super amount of wind suction. The transmission is not calibrated well. I have to run it almost toward the lowest setting. If I don’t keep a low setting, it will lunge forward; it’s so light the more kind of jumps. It’s not super powerful. There is a 40 Volt lithium ion battery. Benefits? No smell because there is no gas or oil. Stores easily. There is a battery holding compartment under the top. I question whether one battery charge can carry the mower for a long time.
