The RYOBI 40-Volt X Expand-It Cordless Trimmer comes with premium 0.080 in. dimpled line and the REEL-EASY bump-feed string head for faster reloads, usually found only on gas trimmers. The cutting width is adjustable for longer run time or wider cutting width. This trimmer is recommended for yards up to 1-Acre. Also included, the RYOBI Expand-It Edger Attachment allows you to transform your string trimmer into a powerful edger. Also included, you can add the power of Jet Fan Technology to your string trimmer with the RYOBI Expand-It Jet Fan Blower. Additionally, the RYOBI Expand-It 10 in. A Pole Saw Attachment features a 10 in. bar and chain that is ideal for pruning and cutting limbs up to 6 in. thick.

The Ryobi 40-Volt trimmer is a solid piece of equipment for yardwork. It is heavy duty, lasts about 40 minutes with non-stop use and has the power of a gas engine, without the mess of oil or gas! Has power to cut through thick weeds and I do use it for edging as well – does its job and then some. Downfalls of this equipment is that it is bloody heavy on the battery end! There is no easy way of balancing the trimmer, and after a while it does start to strain arms and backs if you are not careful. The charger included does its job well enough, takes about 3 hours to charge from fully drained to full again. Changing the string is easy and includes the tool for faster wrapping. I would get this again as I don’t have to haul around extension cords or gas anywhere and the battery is interchangeable with the rest of the the 40-Volt line by Ryobi.

This is my new favorite tool. If you have an expand-it base and you need a blower, you should definitely get this attatchment. Ive only used it to blow snow so far, but its “blown away” (pun intended) every expectation that I had and is not much noisier than the motor itself.
