Also included, the RYOBI Expand-It Edger Attachment will transform your string trimmer into a powerful edger. Adjust the depth on the 8 in. serrated blade to help you create professional edges on different areas in your yard. So, I got tired of having to replace string trimmers. I spend $150 on them and they last for several years and then they either need to be serviced (at $100) or replaced. I decided to buy a Ryobi battery powered trimmer. I looked at the 18v since I have a bunch of 18v Ryobi tools, but the 40v wasn’t much more and it has the ability to use attachments. I used the trimmer all summer and I had to charge it 2 times. It works great. And it doesn’t need gas mix and it doesn’t need to be started and it’s quiet. It’s a great purchase.

Overall it’s good, but it’s only 15 inches, small working area. My previous one was 17 inch. Also, it’s too heavy, which defeated the purpose of having an electric tool.
