The RYOBI 40-Volt Brushless String Trimmer gives you the cordless convenience you want with the GAS-LIKE POWER you need. The EXPAND-IT attachment capability allows you to transform your trimmer into an edger, blower, pole saw and many more tools with the available attachments, meaning you can save time, space and money. This RYOBI trimmer has a brushless motor for maximum power and durability. This unit is equipped with the REEL EASY plus 3-in-1 Bump Feed Head with SPEED WINDER, which can be reloaded in 60-seconds or less. This REEL EASY plus head can function as a bump feed head, fixed line head or bladed head. The variable speed trigger and 2-speed switch deliver increased control for any application. The adjustable 13 in. to 15 in. cut swath allows you to optimize your trimmer for increased run time or increased productivity. The included Expand-It 10 in. A Pole Saw Attachment features a 10 in. bar and chain that is ideal for pruning and cutting limbs up to 6 in. thick. Reach dead branches or overgrown limbs up to 12 ft. above the ground with the included extension shaft. The angled trimming head allows for user control and more precise cuts. An automatic lubrication feature helps keep the attachment well-oiled during use. This kit is equipped with a 4.0 Ah battery and charger that are compatible with over 40 RYOBI tools on the RYOBI 40-Volt system.

Though I am not a fan of Ryobi products, this one has made me happy. But for a few nit-picky items I would have given it 5 stars. Mine did not come with a funnel that screws onto the engine oil bottle, so I had to use a funnel. It always starts on the 2nd pull even when cold. The string trimmer has not given me a bit of trouble. I also have the limb saw, which drips oil but also works way better than expected. I really have to twist the wing nuts hard to keep it from rotating on the shaft in spite of the lock buttons. I have not used the storage cap/hook things which look like a fail waiting to happen. Power is excellent (and the 4-cycle engine is nice) but it is a little heavy. I will be buying the rototiller attachment soon. I recommend this system and wish I had bought it sooner.

The tool is very good, it has enough power. I also bought the edger and Blower attachment for it. The blower seems to powerful for the battery because it does very fast and it does put out a lot of air. But the trimmer and edger works perfectly for this tool. I think it can go very long in time I only lost about 1 bar of 4 for an hour long use.

This unit really surprised me. It made short work of few dead trees in mine and my neighbors yard. I was looking for things to cut and my wife made me stop after a few hours. I guess just love these Ryobi expand it 40 volt attachments. I think I maybe addicted to the reliability of this brand. SIDENOTE…make sure to buy the additional chain oil and a battery if your gonna be doing allday work.

this thing kicks @$$ I got the Brush Cutter attachment. I was skeptical to start, would it have the power I need? should I go gas? will it have the run time? after using this to cut down my overgrown yard all I can say id IM A BELIEVER!!!! PLENTY of power. I was able to cut good size branches off a tree, about 1.5″ with no problem. run time a good solid 45min or more and I was punishing it. if you were just cutting grass it will last way long enough. The only cons I see are the long charge time, which I think there is a fast charger available and the cost of extra batteries, but I realized the price of most of the tools in this line is the same as extra batteries sooooo not really a con.

Impressed by its performance, after my brother-in-law had purchase a brushless weed cutter 40 volts only thing it lasted only a good for hour. So I went out and purchase a brushless 44 40 vote weed cutter my shelf then I purchase a set of four batteries 40-voltOP 4050 36V(40v Max) 6.0AH 216Wh more impressed I was by its performance it lasted over two and a half hours see back in 1980s I was in a RYOBI customer. And switch to DeWalt 20 volt because of its durability and performance I have a Complete Combinations set table saw ,Drill , Circular Saw and storage space it also is a work Table but I’m upset cause of durability which I find it very hard to work and the battery starts going down on me so rapidly I was tired of buying batteries after batteries after batteries even my brother-in-law bought a grass cutter which one can make this one the brushless and him too also was running out of power with only about 20 minutes of you am I told him the ROYBI battery tools does not have durability until I saw your4ov Brush less now I like to see your Brush less extension Chain Saw and also like to know if there a battery with durability to take care of my Combination set Aloha Uncle Leo
