I bought this item the night a neighbor told me a big branch from one of my trees, broke off and fell into the middle of her yard. I had an inkling that I may need an electric/battery operated saw to get it out of there rather than it being an easy one man job in which I could drag it out and throw it over the fence. I was right. I needed an easy to use saw and this Ryobi battery saw worked perfectly. I used the same battery as my lawn mower and could save money by just getting the saw without the battery included. I am happy with this purchase. There is no pulling at all. Just saw some saw and chain oil needed, and the cross compatibly battery, and you are all set. You push a button and are ready to cut. Great buy and great product.

Wow! This is a well engineered product. Easy to trim bushes… and really does cut thicker sections. Battery (purchased with weed whipper) lasted the entire job of 15 six foot tall bushes with plenty of extra power. Tip: only pick it up with one hand… it has dual safety switches, one for each hand. If you pick it up by both handles, it starts running.

As a 50-something lady, the pulling of the starter on my gas-powered chainsaw was exhausting. I purchased this 14″ 40V Ryobi chainsaw to make small jobs easier (I already has batteries from a previous purchase). If you are doing a serious amount of difficulty wood-cutting, you will still want to use a gas-powered chainsaw, but for small jobs, this is perfect. Make sure you have at least 2 batteries available for use since if you use it at full power it won’t last as long as you would like. Also have plenty of bar & chain oil available since it seems to go through it like water. Every time you need to change the battery, you will also probably need to refill the oil reservoir (I love you can see the oil level through the side of the reservoir). With the recent work I have needed to do with wind-felled trees, this chainsaw has already paid for itself in my mind!

After using gas blowers for over 20 years, I was really hesitant to switch over to a battery operated one, however, after purchasing this Ryobi blower to replace a 4 stroke gas blower, I am completely satisfied. It’s so easy to assemble right out of the box & no more worrying about gas, carburetor tuneups, oil changing, etc. Just snap the battery in place & you’re off, with plenty of power as well. It’s lightweight & easy to maneuver too.
