The handle steel lock pin broke after one month of use and now will have to exchange the mower for a full replacement. A quality issue I would have not expected from Ryobi

This is the 2nd Ryobi electric mower I’ve owned. I like the fact that I can control whether to use self-propelled or not. I’m still not sure why it has a light that burns all the time, but I guess it’s a nice feature if you mow very early or very late. A switch to turn it off to conserve power would be nice. My only complaint about the mower is the length. It’s a little difficult to get into tight spaces with an irregularly-shaped yard.

Mower is excellent bags grass great and cuts nicely.Issues are mulch plus too large to fit opening. Ordered side chute works ok but on hilly area contact to run engine slipped up and engine stopped. Needed someone to mow my lawn with it and 5 2 is not conducive to using the handles. 20in mower better.

Got this for Christmas and it just came in the mail. Obviously can’t use it in the snow, but when testing it out it seems like exactly what I was looking for!

It’s a very good lawnmower, I’m very disappointed that the charger did not come with it! I received the mower, battery and the cord for the charger but no charger and have yet to get a response from home depot

Very good strength, cutting results and bagging. Battery life is a bit of an issue so would recommend to submit and buy the second pricey battery. With the second battery I rate this 5 stars… just don’t like the price!

The battery failed in less than six months. The Ryobi customer service sent out a replacement battery within a week. The handle bar on the left side broke. The lawn mower is unusable. Received the mower in April 2020, six months later it will be going in for repairs.Head lights fell off on its’ very first use.Bolts and screws need to be tighten frequently.Looks sturdy, but it rattles and squeaks like an old junk car.

Didn’t think it was going to be strong enough…boy was I wrong! I purchased this mower because I was looking to replace my self propelled gas mower. I used the self propelled option once and haven’t used it since! The mower is light enough and rolls so easily that it’s so easy to push around. It’s like having a shop vac on wheels. The 6 amp battery takes a while to charge so I would recommend having another battery on hand. Glad I waited till they came out with this…. No more gas or pulling out my shoulder pulling the string!

I’m not sure if I like how you have to start the mower. I’m 5.3″ and the full extension as a requirement to turn on the machine it makes the handle super long.

After 3 rimes of use I decided to return it. Mower cut like a gas lawn mower but the battery is bad. I bought an extra battery but I needed another since 2 fully charged battery are not enough for a n average yard like mine. The orher thing also is that the charging is vey erratic not consistently changing the brand new batteries.

Great in every way,,,,IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT.Not one of my most fiscally responsible decisions but I like it.

Assembly was simple. at first test I was a little tentative about the Smart trek system as it felt a little jerky, however once setting off it was incredible intuitive and smooth. The 6.0 ah battery is not enough to mow my 1/3 of an acre lot however it works just fine as a stopping point between the front and back lawn. I would bet with half an hour to an hour of charging it would probably be enough to finish. so a beer or a meal between lawns would be enough time. I am planning on picking up a 40v string trimmer with a 4.0 ah battery and I will bet between the two I should be able to mow the front and back lawn and trim all at once. The unit seems incredibly durable and well built. It takes maybe 30 seconds to fold it up and store, or unfold and get it started. Incredibly convenient if you have limited storage space.

Great handling and worth every cent. My Kobalt just lasted 3 years but the difference is night and day.

It had a short in the handle and would only run 15 minutes. I returned it.

Handles great! Cuts beautifully! Underestimated my yard size, 6.0 battery runs down before I can finish. Will have to buy second backup battery!

It more than met expectations. My family now fights over who mows the lawn. AND, we got it at a great price.
Adrianna Funk (verified owner) –
Great purchase. It’s quite. The battery doesn’t last long for our lawn so we had to buy an extra.

Easy to operate; power is good though battery does take a couple of hours to chargup

My son gave me this mower as a birthday present. I had been eyeing one for a while and was pleasantly surprised when he chose this mower. So far, it has performed as advertised. I don’t have a large yard so I can mow the entire yard with a single charge. This is the first mower that I have owned with a self propel feature and I am already kicking myself for not getting one sooner.
