Every bit as effective as the gas powered version – but without all the fueling and starting issues of the gas version.

It’s is a very powerful weed eater it has a very good build quality and it’s great for people that are taller the only down side is that it’s hard to use when you are a right handed person I find it a lot easier to use with my left hand it is a bit of a learning curve but nonetheless a very great weed eater

Has good power for an corded electric trimmer. Only used it once since the season is changing. If the line refills the way it’s set up it will be easy to reload.

Maybe its just me but this machine the spool kept reeling it back in by itself making it impossible to use. I had to return it

Haven’t used it much yet, but it seems to have plenty of power,it’s a little heavy , could use a strap

Easy to assemble and easy to use. This was perfect for my needs. The unit is very sturdy and easy to handle. I was due for a new trimmer (old one was almost 20 years old) and this was perfect for me. Because it’s electrical you’ll need an extension cord – get a long one – I’m able to trim around my entire house and yard quickly and easily.

Very durable. Powerful enough for spin trimming, edging and light trimming with a pole saw attachment.

The Ryobi 18″ string trimmer is great, powerful; easy to use; and all my attachments fit and work with this unit. It’s more powerful than my 32cc gas trimmer. Using my 100′, 12 gauge cord is no problem, eventhough I think a 14 gauge would probably work just fine also. It’s nice not having to worry about gas and oil, and hard starting trimmers.

I have had no problems or issues with this unit. I purchased mine about 8 months ago.

I can really tell the difference with the 10 Amps over any other electric trimmer I’ve used.

This replaces a 20 yesr old corded electric trimmer that I received as a gift. Much more power than the original Ryobi model 123. Balance is awkward and finding the right location for the handle is weird. The safety switch is in an odd location and rests uncomfortably in the crook of the thumb. There is a place to attach a shoulder strap, but I don’t see one available.

An excellent yard tool, the base is used for multiple other attachments. It works well with attachments from other brands that have been discontinued, as well.

My ryobi string trimmer works great..glad it didn’t buy another gas trimmer

I am a woman and have to do my own yard work, so I was a bit intimidated by this when received. I used another make and model for many years and it wasn’t of this caliber. All that to say is that I conquered my fear and was pleased with the results. It saved me time, wasn’t as heavy when in use as I originally thought when taking it out of the box, and it’s certainly a well made piece of machinery! Home Depot’s online and curbside pick-up was a great way to go too!

It’s good does the job

Very powerful trimmer. After trying the cordless one, decided to exchange it for this one. Happy with my decision, will definitely get 1 or 2 of the other attachments. The cordless one wasn’t bad but battery didnt last . I recommend this one over the cordless (sorry Ryobi but at $100 for ea battery, I rather spend 4 min to deal with the extension cord)

I regret buying the electric one. I should have bought a battery operated one. But it’s good.

The auto feed doesn’t work, 18′ barely lasted the front yard (.1 acres), but took forever because I kept fighting the feed. It’s heavy, though powerful. If they used polycarbonate for the handle instead of polypropylene, and put a piece of rubber under the clamp so it didn’t flex and move around. And fixed the feed mechanism, they’d have a great unit. I’m getting out the solder and fixing my old black and decker. Lighter and easier to use.

I really like this weed wackier because it has the power and there’s no gas to deal with.
