I bought this trimmer a month ago and it’s so east to use. I like the convenience of changing from the trimmer, to the edger, to the blower in a matter of seconds. I look forward to buying other attachments as well.

I wanted a 4 cycle engine without dealing with the oil to gas mixture. This Trimmer works great.

I have had this for over four years. I bought this one because I dont want have mix the fuel. The start up is sometimes stubborn but it works. Thank you for building a reliable product yet again!

It works great so far. Love the 4 stroke and no mixed gas and oil. Cuts great with a lot of power. Like the curved shaft better than straight shaft. Used Ryobi for a long time now, and have all the attachments to use with it.

Fairly easy to assemble. Adding the oil was no problem. Great feature being able to run straight gasoline vs having to make a gas/oil mixture. Still working on getting the handle to hold its position. I dont want to over tighten it, but its hard to guage where the right tightness is verse it being sideways by the end of the day. Starts and restarts easily with a few pumps of the primer bulb. Gas tank is slightly small, but im ok with refilling it a couple times verses the tradeoff of a larger gas tank and the added weight. Edging a driveway, part of a pond, and chopping down scattered weeds on .5 acres of land took two full tanks (which really isnt a lot of gas). Only other note to brand new owners, for the first time starting, the primer bulb will be empty, so dont count the pumps until its actually circulating the gas. Cant wait to try out the blower attachment next!

Cranked right up the first time. Had the power I needed and price was fair. Had no problems with now for 4 months

The trimmer does work well once it starts – however, I was led to believe that it would start after three pulls. Even when it is warmed up, I have to use ten pulls or more to get it to start. I called into customer service, and was told to try switching it to “run” sooner, adjust the carb, or get it replaced. I haven’t had time yet to try these solutions.

Works fine, a good option changing the tools. Con= motor heat can hurt your arm. It need a better heat shield.

I’ve owned one of these weedeaters in the past and was one of the best ever owned and used. I will never purchase any other kind. Nothing matches this Ryobi weedeater.

Relatively easy to start although it’s only been used twice. There is an issue with the string, though. I had the throttle wide open and bumped it on the ground as instructed, but the string didn’t come out. I took the spool apart and found that heat must have caused the string to fuse together on the spool enough that it wouldn’t unwind and I had to do so manually. I’m going to monitor this condition. I’d like to have given it a 3.5, but I had to round down and not up.

This is a great 4 cycle weed trimmer for the money. Starts easily and quickly every time and does a great job, even with heavy weeds. I use a different trimmer attachment than the one provided, so can’t speak to how that one works.

Really nice Machine starts easy dont even need choke. Tons of power it is heavier than its 2 stroke counter part but vibrates less and runs smoother and Quieter. Really recommend. Also if having idle issues turn the screw on the carb clock wise to turn up idle and counter clockwise to lower idle

They have improved this model over time as I was replacing an older one. This one is easier to deal with and it appears they have beefed up some of the components.
