I enjoy building bird houses. Some of the cuts are in small pieces of wood and have shape. This tool is perfect for this. The ease of removing the blade to insert in a drilled hole to make in inner cut is so easy.

Great saw. The last one I had lasted about 12 years. Great quality.

The saw was purchased primarily to complete one job, with future projects in mind. The saw did a great job of cutting through the thinner dimension of a 2X4 with no problems. The all-purpose blade that came with the saw held up well, surviving the job without a perceived dulling as I finished the last cut. The adjustable cutting speed and air jet are nice features. The saw is heavy enough to be a secure base for most work that would be done on a scroll saw. I would recommend this saw as a great value for the price.

I was using an older Craftsman which is built like a tank but it was leaving the pieces dirty as it has and oil crankcase and that stuff somehow gets on everything. It also didn’t do tight cuts very well without breaking blades. Out of frustration I decided to give this one a try. My cutting efficiency nearly trippled and it leaves the letters cleaner and less sanding so everything is as it should be. I thought about more expensive saws but I am an infrequent scroll saw user. This one appears to be working well. I like it.

Overall I like this scroll saw. Not really fancy, but it gets the job done at a good price for beginners or if you just scroll occasionally. What I don’t like, the little green insert plate by the blade isn’t even with the table, so smaller pieces get caught. I wish the dust port was on the side.

The price was good and it works fine. However, blades break very easily.

Could use a light and the second bolt hole is difficult to access. Had to mount with just one bolt.

Not a bad saw. I have several other Ryobi tools and I am happy with all of them so the brand was a selling point. It’s easy to use and cuts well. This is the first scroll saw I’ve used. I like the way I can control the blade speed. The safety block doesn’t secure that well but this has not been an issue. I bought this for hobby crafts and it’s meeting my needs. I did have a hard time cutting 2″ very hard wood, however softer pieces cut easily. I’m new to woodworking and this machine is probably a good for me and my skill level. Despite my lack of skill I made some very good curved cuts easily. I did find that the machine moved on my workbench when in use so I would recommend fixing it to a solid workstation. I also would have liked an integral work light. Overall, not a bad machine- it will do the job.

The saw was shipped to my house and arrived in perfect condition. It is very easy to operate and solid enough that it doesn’t move around when in use.
