Great little saw for small trim work or like projects. Can even build a small kitchen cabinet, boxes, shelves but keep em small. It’s a good little saw but I mean for small projects as well. If your cutting needs are more than simple small baseboards or 2x4s, then you need to move up. Ryobi has a 10 inch for a measly $5 dollars more!!! No brainer!! If you need wider cuts, then spend $50 more and get the 10 inch sliding compound miter saw. That $5 or $50 bucks more gets you sooooo much more in a miter saw. As a bare minimum for entering into a miter saw I’d spend the extra $5 for sure and get the extra inches. Once you start doing more advanced projects then I’m sure you’d wished that you had spent the extra $50 and got the sliding compound version. Again, this is for little stuff and if this is all you need then go for it but please consider the above. If you want to stay in the Ryobi line and have few worries about your miter saw and it’s ability to do almost any miter function, then prepare to spend about $350 and get the 12 inch sliding compound w/LED guide.

This tool is perfect for small projects, I strongly recommend it if you have to make small repairs or projects. I only had to buy a new disc for a better/fine cut.

It was easy to put together and made quick work of the project we were doing. It’s not too heavy so I could put it up on the table. Love it

Someone tell “Scott” who gave this saw 1 star that I’ll take his saw. Guess he doesn’t know how to use saws the right way. I’ve got the 18v version of this saw and it cuts great. I’ve made plenty of money with it

Not good to cut wooden floor in length. The cutting is good and fast though. But didn’t work good for me. Since I was doing DIY.

This is a great little saw. It is quiet like a Honda and performs as smoothly. Cuts like butter. Impressive for a saw that was the least expensive.

Minor assembly right out of the box. Was able to use saw in minutes. Worked as expected, clean cuts. Used for building a wood flag for 4th of July.

The safety switch is to close to the start handle. Had employees grab the handle to move saw only to have it start. Had to take this this saw out of service do to not being safe.
