It features a 1-1/4 in. dust port to help keep your work area clean. The 40-tooth Carbide-Tipped blade provides improved performance for fast, clean cuts and an LED Cutline Indicator for higher accuracy. Backed by the RYOBI 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, the 12 in. The saw has a LED, but not a laser and the LED does not help to mark the blade cut line.

The Good: Very decent miter saw with good functionality. The sliding cross cut feature let me easily cut 12″x2″x8′ planks into small chunks I needed for a project. The LED feature that produces a dark shadow of the blade edge on the workpiece is much better than the laser feature other brands offer, because the shadow also represents the thickness of the kerf so if you use a blade with thicker kerf you can see how much of the workpiece is gone under the blade. On the other hand, the dark shadow has lower visibility on very dark wood.The not so good: Both vertical and horizontal angles were slightly off. I had to prop up squares and recalibrate the vertical cut and I noticed the back fence was not square against the blade, by a tiny bit, which again I had to loosen the bolts and square the fence for proper cuts.Also, the dust collection port is a joke. I have different size adapters for my shop-vac and I connected a hose to the dust port, but with the shop-vac running on high, at best half the dust gets sucked into the dust collection port. If you cut plywood or material that chips too much, then you will be covered in saw dust.Overall price performance this is a very good saw.
