Overall good. Was trying to clear weeds and it wasnt up to the job. Suppose I expected too much, they were thick stemmed. Easy job on grass and it was a total breeze. Easy to set up and clean.

Good residential trimmer. Used this trimmer a couple of times so far and it works every bit as good as the corded electric trimmers we own. It’s really easy to use and extremely light. I also like that you can turn the head 180 degrees for edging. Only down side is the 1.3 amp hr. battery that comes with it doesn’t last very long so I suggest you but a spare battery. The spare batteries cost more than this reconditioned trimmer! However, it’s worth it not to deal with the extension cords or a gas engine. For the price, if I can get two or three seasons out of it I’ll be happy!

This trimmer is GREAT! It’s light, compact, quiet, and so easy to use. No more banging trimmers on the ground to feed the string, or getting it twisted til it won’t feed at all. This is what has kept me from buying a trimmer for so long. I don’t know how long it will last, but for now it’s just fine.

I ordered this on line, it arrived quickly and was well packaged. It came with the smallest battery ryobi offers, which surprised me but it doesn’t say which 18v battery you get in add so that was ok. The unit assembled easily. It works great on grass and small weeds I had some larger weeds and it just didn’t have the power to cut them. The swivel function for edging is nice but feels a little flimsy. Over all a good machine for small tasks.

I unpacked an Assembled the Weedeater in about 10 min, then took it outside and did a little trimming in my neighbors yard, he took it from me did a little more trimming and now he wants one too! I own about 12 18v. Ryobi Products some are the older Blue Tools (I bought the big 18v. kit in a suitcase when it first showed up at Home Depot about 20 years ago). I have used the H-ll out my old Drill and Saw/Saw at the local Junkyard (I’ve bought a new Green Drill & driver kit). Every one of my old Ryobi Tools still Work!!! I also own a 7 Milwaukee 18v. & 12v. Commercial Grade tools (about 7 to 10 years). I’ve replaced both the Drill & Driver at least 2 times each, and both the Ratchets once. I use all my cordless Tools about the same amount so price does not always equal a better tool!

The product arrived with a hood that does not fit, but did include a battery (which was not expected). However, working without a cover blows debri, the string feeds too fast so that it becomes too long and needs to be cut frequently, and if trimmer runs too long the thing smokes. So, overall I don’t think I made a very good purchase. The only reason for trying a reconditioned trimmer was because the battery to my last one was still good, but something went wrong with the tool itself. I think I will stay away from “refurbished” in the future…
